Today is one of the most counterproductive days!
went to longshan temple in the morning, which is frigging far.
like last station on the mrt line
then after that went to some shopping centre, like takashimaya,
where obviously it was just aimless walking since the stuff there are too ex and ubiquitous
after that went back to xmd cos i insisted on getting this NT1980 shoes that ive been eyeing at for 3 days alr

FOUND THE PERFECT ANNIVERSARY GIFT!
navy blue skinnies!
at this lane whereby all the street stuff are
like haji lane, but much much better quality goods and trust me much much ex as well!
oh and the shopkeeper was really cute and have good fashion style!
he offered to try on size S and M, and i was sososo fickleminded!

went to a nightmarket near the powerstation mrt
VERY GOOD. should have came here the first day
its like fep, boutique concept

OHOH. and btw.
i can feel my muscle ache from all the 4 days of walking
which makes me kinda happy ;)

DAY 3

DAY THREE
basically today's itinerary was the only day planned
we signed up for a one day tour!
huishan's mum's idea!
which i think was an extremely good one
because if the whole trip was a shopping spree,
it would be quite meaningless as one can shop practically in any country
but it is not everyday that we get to experience temples, memorials, MOUNTAINS! hot springs etc

deer's foetus, apparently very good for complexion

taiwan's buildings are so much beautiful than singapore's
it's like HDB but all the houses are carefully architectured and built!
seee what i like about it its that the colour coordination is at least soothing with the eye
and that they having protruding structures, whether it be the balcony or the window sills
(unlike sgp, hdb all flat flat squarish looking,
even the balcony is within the dimensions of the flat,
if u know what i mean)IMG_1018

after the many temples and memorial halls + food
we went up a mountain jiu fen
This is what the shops there look like IMG_1032

went down the hill to this scenic place
where apparently alot of pple queue up to take photo with the queen;s head
try to spot it in the picture!IMG_1076

after which we went to get our fortune told!
the shifu said that i got good romance luck!! HAHAH quite true la.
and that i need to be more patient and put more effort in order to be successful.
VERY TRUE INDEED.

at night we went to shilin night market!
no taipei trip is completed without buying ji pai @ shilin!
then went to shilin market to shop! HAHAHA

DAY 2

DAY TWO

got lost today! @ wufenpu!
went to longshan temple in the morning
anyway i decided that my blog be more of a picture one than a words one
cos a picture speaks a thousand words.
save me the trouble of typing! ROFL

wufenpu is like the taiwan version of thailand's chatuchak.
waaapiangs, the girls walk until leg pain :(
i wanted to walk somemore!!
lost them someway, LOL
went to
raohe night market to look for them but to no avail

later the girls narrated to me saying that they waited for me for 20-30mins
where they last saw me (oops)
HAHHAH they were extremely pissed with me,
but i brought them to nice japanese ramen stall for dinner!
its like sgp's ajisen only 2sgd cheaper at xmd!
i seriously sworn that at that moment when i was lost,
i wished that i had stuck close to them :(
freaking scared, in a foreign country & my cheena like one lousy!

Land of Asian Barbie and Ken dolls

went to TAIWAN-TAIPEI
aka land of bubble tea
♥ this trip!
its like my first overseas trip,
though we were unprepared
cos we din know what to do or where to go for each day.
IT WAS DEFINITELY HELLUVA FUN!!
with my bbgs!
WHOOOOTS!
a big thank you to huishan's mum and aunt who were there to babysit us!

DAY ONE

joce came to send us off !
so nice of her right! from west travel to east so early in the morning!
at 8am!!! but she came with ellie i think!
PEIFU!

arrived at ximending around evening time!
decided to explore the area
obviously the first thing we consumed was
BUBBLETEA!
it was literally food paradise,
everything was below NT 50 (sgd $2)
anyway below would be food spam.

bubble tea

3-inch burgers

pancakes with "feelings"

corn dog! HUMONGOUS and SCRUMPTIOUS
I remembered back then in ACJC, whenever we go to the sports complex,
ellie would most likely order a corn dog and cut it into freaking fine pieces to eat!
and the uncle at the sports complex cafe was real mean!

sharing a bowl of mian xian!
wasn't really good, had these shell pieces inside,
but anyway there were many people eating by the stall on the road.
met 2 locals later at a bag shop!
and one of them animatedly told us all the delicious food in taipei!
the way she narrated, would just make anyone salivate. LOL
really damn dramatic the way she describes the food!
HAHAHA then she said the mian xian we ate earlier on wasn't really that fantastic
but the shopkeeper retorted "bu hao chi, hai chi dao ze ge yang zi"
(not nice still eat until this size,
well she wasnt exactly what u would call slim)

places we explored:
1. the forked road (near ximending mrt station in taipei it is
called jie yun zhan)
this place has alot of high heels and clothes, very repetitive
and the prices are not budget friendly at all!
it's like singapore!
2. shinjoku plaza
sells mainly overseas clothes,
5 storeys high! very pricey but of better quality!

3. hiphop plaza (on the right of shinjoku)
sells 2-5th storey sells loads of hiphop shoes! jackets!
mostly guys stuff!
come to think about it, singapore lacks a shopping mall which dedicates itself to selling mostly guys clothes!
unlike 313 which has a 4storey high forever21!

now, we cant exactly blame singaporean men for not having taste of fashion then can we?
hmmm..
anyway! on the first floor, huishan and i bought cosmetics!
i bought a eyebrow pencil (really good) and like 4 types of eyeshadow over the 5 days (i made 3 trips)
eyeshadow by Rina + eyelash!
so cheap! 1 box 100NT which is 10 pairs for 5SGD,
1 pair about 50cents?!?!

BUYS FOR THE DAY(night)
